Young Korean woman, early 20s, natural appearance, fitted pastel-yellow short top, loose white pajama pants, black sneakers, simple silver necklace, black wavy hair tied into a messy side ponytail. Realistic skin texture, minimal makeup, consistent identity throughout.

Peaceful Korean residential neighborhood on a hot summer afternoon. Small homes, narrow concrete alleys, potted plants, bicycles, old walls, overhead wires and a tiny neighborhood ice cream shop at the end of the street.

Early-2000s handheld DV camcorder operated by a friend. Strong camera shake, drifting composition, autofocus hunting, faded colors, soft digital image, exposure shifts, occasional motion blur and imperfect zooms.

She steps outside her house holding a small fan, looking overheated. She suddenly hears the familiar sound of an ice cream truck bell and kids around it and looks toward the end of the alley. She spots the truck turning the corner and immediately starts running after it, laughing as the camera struggles to keep up. She finally catches it and excitedly chooses a colorful ice cream, holding it up proudly toward the camera. She walks away taking her first bite, then notices the ice cream is already melting down her hand. She panics, runs toward a nearby outdoor water tap and tries to clean her sticky fingers while laughing. Her friend zooms in awkwardly on her messy face and melting ice cream. She looks directly at the camera, shakes her head and says, “Still worth it.”

She walks back down the sunny alley eating the ice cream as the camera follows behind her.

Audio: Ice cream truck bell, birds, summer insects, footsteps, distant children, bicycle bells, water running and natural neighborhood ambience. No music, no narration.
